Location: Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia - This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will create complex algorithms and run simulations to drive business results with data-based insights, as well as develop and implement predictive and prescriptive analytical models that enable SGI to improve products and processes.

We hope you consider applying if you:
- Have experience in data science, research, or actuarial science, preferably in property and casualty insurance.
- Have a deep knowledge of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and model deployment.
- Are skilled in using common statistical programming languages such as Python, SQL, SAS.
- Are working towards or dedicated to pursuing designations and certifications in Data Science, such as the Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA) designation from the Casualty Actuarial Institute or an equivalent.

Typically, these skills are gained through a Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a directly related field of study field of study such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering or Computer Science and having a master's degree (which is an added advantage) with Five to Six years' experience in a data science, research, and/or an equivalent role.
