Description

Southeast College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Primary Care Paramedic Instructor for our Year 1 cohort at the Weyburn campus. The program will run every 2nd weekend.

Duties include but are not limited to:
-Plan/facilitate the program, including providing tutorial, facilitating labs, scenario skill practice, small groups and lectures, evaluating course/program and the result of the teaching process.
-Manage the learning environment in alignment with policies and recognized adult
learning protocols.

Required Qualifications:
-Completion of an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Program from an approved
school
-A minimum of two years of recent experience as an ACP
-Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
(SCoP)
-Current instructor level status with International Trauma life Support (ITLS)
-Current instructor level status with Basic Life Support (BLS)
-Current provider level certification in Advanced Cardiac life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)
-Understanding of and ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education
-Well-developed interpersonal and oral communications skills
-Demonstrates valuing diversity
-Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders.
