Description

The Housing Assistant position at Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation is a full-time role under the supervision of the housing department portfolio holder. The Housing Assistant will perform various administrative duties, assist with handle housing applications, and maintain accurate housing profiles through physical site visits. Responsibilities also include conducting field inspections, working with service providers, and maintaining relationships with internal departments and external organizations.

Roles and Responsibilities

    Administrative duties including maintaining filing system, issue approved public notices, gather & compile support documents, data entry, office procedures, & information management
    Housing application intake, cheque requisition processing, purchase orders,
    Create and maintain accurate up to date housing profiles; physical site visits will be required (outside work)
    Field inspections of housing infrastructure, septic services, water, and more as required
    Working with service providers such as Superior Propane, SaskEnergy, SaskPower, YTC Tech Services.
    Maintain a working relationship with internal departments, community members and external organizations.
    Periodic travel for supplies/materials (by arrangement only).
    Attend training, seminars, and workshops.
    Assist in organizing and participating in community activities as required
    To have working knowledge of current housing policy and maintenance agreement
    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    Ability to work independently with limited supervision
    Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
    Grade 10 math
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Class 5 Drivers License with Clear Drivers Abstract
    CPIC {clear criminal record check}
    Able to travel with possible overnight stays to attend training workshops as required
    Able to align time management skills with organizational goal setting
