As a Mental Health & Addictions Nurse, you will blend clinical nursing with counseling, crisis support, and collaborative care planning.
What You'll Do:
Complete comprehensive mental health and addiction assessments
Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
Administer medications, perform drug screening and immunizations
Support clients through detox and recovery processes
Coordinate with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and external partners
Engage in program development and case conferences
Respond to crisis situations with professionalism and empathy
What You Bring:
Registered with RPNAS or CRNS (in good standing)
Graduate of an approved psychiatric or general nursing program
Minimum 2 years experience in addictions or mental health care
CPR and PART certifications
Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
Strong communication, crisis management, and teamwork skills
Knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and Indigenous practices is an asset
