Position: Family Support & Mentorship Worker
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to provide mentorship-based family support services to children, youth, and families involved with the Ministry of Social Services. The successful applicant will have experience working with children and youth in crisis and the ability to build strong, supportive relationships that foster growth, resilience, and positive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Mentor children, youth, and families through supportive, consistent relationships.
Encourage personal growth, emotional regulation, and positive routines.
Assist families with parenting strategies, life skills, and accessing resources.
Provide services primarily in clients homes and community settings.
Complete accurate and timely documentation as required.
Clientele:
Children and youth in care or at risk
Families needing additional support and guidance
Qualifications:
Enrolled in or completed post-secondary education in human services (12 years) or 2+ years of related experience.
Valid SK Drivers License and clean abstract.
Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry Checks.
First Aid/CPR an asset.
Additional Requirements:
Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to obtain liability insurance.
Willing to travel within Moose Jaw and surrounding area.
Employment Type:
