Description

JGL is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Crop Protection & Seed to lead our procurement strategy and supplier relationships in these key input categories. This senior role, reporting to the Chief of Retail & Business Development, will be part of the JGL leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies, as well as leading partnerships with major crop protection and seed suppliers on behalf of our independent retail network.

About Our Crop Input Network
JGLs crop input network is built on a commitment to growing strong partnerships and supporting independent ag retailers across Western Canada. We operate as a collaborative network to help independent retailers remain competitive, efficient, and connected to the customers they serve. Our network includes Hawks Agro Ltd. in Southwestern Saskatchewan and AgroPlus Inc. in Southern Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to JGLs leadership team and culture
Support and guide retail partners
Lead procurement and supplier relationships
Oversee pricing, demand planning, and inventory
Drive strategy and profitability across the network

Required Qualifications
10+ years in ag, with crop protection & seed experience
Proven leadership and partnership development
Strong business planning, communication, and analysis skills
