Job Description: Reporting to a Unit Manager, Extended Care/Veteran's Program, the Resident Care Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care and service is provided to residents/veterans on a given unit. As an experience practitioner, the Resident Care Co-ordinator acts in a leadership role to provide specialized clinical expertise, co-ordination of resident care, and support and teaching to the resident care team (including residents and residents' families) within a collaborative environment. The routine procedures are generally pre-determined but critical thinking and independent judgment is an integral part of the position.

Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant long term care nursing experience
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
Other Education and Training
- Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
