Description

As Parts Counter Specialist reporting to the Parts Manager of an established dealership, you will enjoy communicating with customers and providing parts sales/service for automotive and related equipment.  

Explore this stable Monday to Friday position working with a great group of employees and receiving the training you need to perform at your best!

In this role, you will:
- Greet and provide a high level of counter parts sales and service to customers requesting parts for automotive vehicles, machinery and equipment.  Assist customers in person, on the phone and through email, providing quotations, advising them of special offers and recommending products/accessories to complement the customers purchase.  

- Process customer orders and accept payments by cash, debit or credit card for parts and equipment. Handle customer concerns/complaints in a professional manner, demonstrating empathy and a positive customer service attitude.  

- Assist the in-house service technicians in determining parts and accessory needs for service and repair work.   Recommend related parts and accessories that may be required and provide parts information and costs on service repair orders.  

- Monitor, purchase and maintain an accurate inventory of parts to meet customer demand and ongoing inventory control.

- Receive parts from distributors, process and check items received against invoices; assign part numbers and bin locations.  Review vendor invoices for accuracy, price and condition of product.  Stock shelves with parts and maintain a well-organized storage and inventory system.    

- Check stock orders continually, updating both internal and external customers on arrival status.
- Track ongoing customer orders to determine if parts should be stocked on inventory that are not regularly on hand.

- Assist with shipping and receiving.
