The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated individual to join our production and technical services team at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan. As a member of the production and technical services team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our sites ammonia freeze plants.
In this role, you will:
-Start/stop compressors as required, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and conduct operator care rounds in a variety of environments
-Assist in the operation and oversight of the freeze well system, maintaining daily coordination and communication with supervisors and trades personnel as needed
-Enter daily reports into a computerized database
-Create work orders and notifications in SAP
Required:
-Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
-Refrigeration Engineer certification; must be registered with TSASK as a Refrigeration Engineer or able to obtain registration within 6 months of start date
-Minimum 3 years of experience operating a refrigeration plant, preferably an ammonia-based system
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent safety record
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-3rd year Power Engineering or 3rd year (or greater) Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic
-Experience with SAP, SIGGA, Bentley, or similar software
-Comfortable using Microsoft Office/MS365 software
