The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) is a treasury board crown responsible for emergency communications including Sask911 and SaskAlert, wildfire management, emergency management and fire safety. This centralized agency ensures a single point of contact for communities, greater co-ordination of provincial resources and contributes to safer communities in our province.
The SPSA is seeking a results-oriented, dynamic and highly motivated individual for the position of Intelligence Officer within the Intelligence Services Section. Reporting to the Coordinator of Intelligence and Situation Awareness Unit, the successful candidate will be responsible to monitor, investigate, analyze and provide actionable insights on risks analysis and confirmed intelligence to ensure early identification of public safety risks and threats to Saskatchewan citizens and critical infrastructure.
This position will liaise with Saskatchewan Critical Infrastructure partners to identify and promote appropriate awareness and mitigation activities, vulnerability assessments, facilitate the sharing of findings, guide interdependency identification and participate on various CI working groups.
During significant or emergency events or exercises, this position will be assigned a functional position within the Provincial Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) and must be familiar with the Incident Command System and current Emergency Operation Center procedures.
