Description

Yorkton Toyota, a member of the Key Auto Group, is looking for a full-time Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician to join our team. Technicians examine, test and repair the parts and systems on cars, SUVs and light trucks. Yorkton Toyota is a COR-Certified dealership and follows the highest standards in workplace safety.

WHAT YOU OFFER (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies):
Completion of Automotive Service Technician Journeyperson Certificate (or equivalent)
Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Ability to keep up-to-date with changing technology
Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, engines and electronic equipment
Demonstrated competency in braking systems; suspensions and frames; steering systems; engines; differentials and drive shafts; transmissions; exhaust and emission control systems; and tires, wheels and rims

WHAT YOU DO (Duties & Responsibilities):
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions.
Examine and test drive vehicles to determine what repairs are required.
Perform the installation, repairs, fabrication, alignments, changes, lubrication, replacement and overhaul of parts needed.
Communicate professionally with Parts and Service staff to obtain required parts and advise of work performed.
Maintain accurate records of work performed per repair.
Perform scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes and tire rotations.
Participate in factory-sponsored training programs and keep current of all factory technical bulletins.
Notify management of any problems that interfere with performing quality work.
Maintain clean and safe shop area and equipment.
