The Village of Halbrite is looking for a self motivated individual to take on the role of water treatment plant operator and maintenance person. This position is salaried position with a varied schedule; the bulk of the maintenance work being required from May to mid October.
Daily water treatment plant hours are a minimum of 3 hours a day, year round. When scheduled to work in the water treatment plant it is expected that you are available for the regular daily duties, scheduled maintenance or requirements on the water side of the operations, as well as any emergencies that may arise in that scheduled 24 hour period. Most days this would be a 3 hour requirement; you are not expected to be on site for the whole 24 hour period, but are expected to return to work should a matter arise that requires your attention.
Maintenance responsibilities include duties such as grounds keeping/mowing, some building maintenance, equipment and vehicle maintenance, sign installation, street repair, providing residents access to the landfill and other duties as assigned. Maintenance responsibilities would fill the balance of your hours after water treatment plant responsibilities.

Preference will be given to those with Level I Certified Water and Wastewater Treatment and Distribution however, training and certification can be obtained if necessary.
