Early Childhood Educator (ECE) II Supervisor Job Description

Reports to Director and steps in for director in Directors absence

Educator will be responsible for the care and guidance of infants/toddlers of Little Seedlings Daycare center. They will support social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual well-beings of the children through the development of child-interest-based curriculums.

Along with the director will provide a learning environment for children to explore and learn through play-based guidance.

Ensure childcare regulations and policies and regulations are always adhered to.

Prepare and implement creative and age-appropriate schedules and curriculum.

Create and maintain the physical environment as a third teacher and ensure optimal health and safety of the children.

Adapt programming and the environment to consistently meet the needs of the children.

Supervise all activities to ensure the safety of infants and children.

Adhere to ratios and ensure numbers are always in line with provincial policies.

Feeding, diapering, dressing, toileting as deemed age appropriate.

Identify unusual child behavior and illness, document, and consult with the director.

Administer medications to children and fill in the appropriate forms.- ADD TO ED

Respond with good judgement in case of emergencies.

Attend staff meetings and complete staff training as required.

Assist in daily cleaning and sanitization as required.

Annual criminal record checks and vulnerable safety checks.
