Little Seedlings Childcare Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Administrator to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative support functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys working behind the scenes to help a childcare centre run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, expense tracking, and reconciliations.
Process payroll for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant employment standards.
Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting for review by the Director and Board of Directors.
Assist with billing and fee collection from families and issue receipts as needed.
Support the Director with data entry, document organization, and preparing reports.
Ensure confidentiality of all financial and personal information.
Communicate professionally with staff, families, and board members as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, or administrative support (QuickBooks or similar software experience preferred).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and privacy/confidentiality standards.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Current criminal record check (required before start date).
