The Childcare Worker is responsible for providing high-quality, nurturing, and educational care to children in a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment. Working under the direct supervision of the Daycare Supervisor, the Childcare Worker implements age-appropriate programming, ensures the well-being and development of each child, and maintains effective communication with parents and colleagues.
Qualification's:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Have completed and hold a valid CPR level C and Standard First Aid certificate as issued by either the St Johns Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross associations.
Possess a valid food handling certificate as issued by Health Canada or Saskatchewan Health.
Possess a valid workplace hazardous material information system (WHIMIS) certificate.
Prior to their commencement of employment or work in childcare Centre and annually after, submit to the licensee:
a medical report certifying that the individuals physical and mental health is satisfactory and appropriate for work with children; and
evidence that the individual has received the appropriate immunization and undergone appropriate medical testing with respect to Hepatitis B, tetanus, influenza and tuberculosis and
prior to their commencement of employment or work in a childcare centre and at such other times thereafter as may be required, undergo and submit to a criminal/ vulnerable sector check, the results of which shall be made available to that require.
Prior to their commencement of employment or work in a childcare facility, it shall be restricted to providing food preparation and clean up services only shall not be licensed or permitted to provide childcare services, unless such individual also meets the requirements of an alternate worker.
Have completed level 1 or level 2 or level 3 Early Childcare Classes from either SIIT or SIAST.
Must obtain a Valid Drivers license.
