Description

Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for the position of Journeyperson Carpenter. Carpentry professionals work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team and support the division in the maintenance of our schools & buildings. This CUPE position starts July 2nd, 2025, and reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor. The salary for this position is $37.09 per hour. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, based out of the School Services Building located in Warman, SK, approximately 25 kilometres from Saskatoon, providing service to schools throughout the division.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will:
Possess a Journeyperson Certificate in Carpentry.
Have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Have, or be willing to work towards obtaining, a Firemans Certificate and WHMIS.
Possess a valid drivers license.
In addition, the candidate should:
Be a strong team member and good communicator.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Be well-planned and well-organized.
Show evidence of being a life-long learner.
Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
Tools and vehicle are provided.
