Lovering Place-Wahkotowin Program is hiring a FT/permanent Nurse Team Lead! This position involves a rotation of both day and night shifts, and includes working weekends and statutory/designated holidays, unless coverage is requested in advance. Hours average to 36 hours per week. There is an averaging of hours permit in place for 160 hours over 4 weeks, with daily overtime (over 12 hours) calculated separately.
The Nurse Team Lead is responsible for medication management and other nursing duties, including administering injections, wound care, and any other medical or psychiatric needs residents may have that fall within the nursing scope of practice. The Nurse Team Lead is also responsible for consulting with the Intensive Case Managers on care planning and ensuring needs are communicated for medical appointments. The Nurse Team Lead is also responsible for providing health teaching to residents and providing education to staff. The Nurse Team Lead is also expected to provide leadership to support staff and guest relations staff while on shift and assist in problem solving, especially on evenings and weekends when Intensive Case Managers and management are not present.
Applicants must be a registered nurse (RN) or registered psychiatric nurse (RPN). Graduate nurses may apply but will receive a conditional offer based on passing their exam and receiving their full license. Applicants must have a valid First Aid/CPR certificate and a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License.
