Job Description: Performs a variety of analytical procedures, analysis and laboratory duties for the detection, diagnosis, prevention and management of disease and illness.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education
- e.g. Chemistry required in Chemistry, Microbiology in Microbiology, etc.
- Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in defined science & required courses
- Major dependent on specific specialty area: - BSC 4-yr degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, Intro to Chemistry (Similar to Chemistry 104 or 105), Organic Chemistry (Similar to U of R Chemistry 241), Analytic Chemistry I, II (Similar to U of R Chemistry 210, 310/215), Separation Chemistry (Similar to Chem 312), Biochemistry (6 Cr. Hrs.), Statistics (3 Cr. Hrs.)
