Description

Assistant Director plays a crucial role in ensuring the childcare centre operates smoothly. They must possess a combination of leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. In addition, an effective Assistant Director demonstrates compassion, patience, and a genuine love for working with children.

The assistant director assists the director in overseeing all aspects of daily operations, staff management, curriculum development and implementation providing exceptional client services to parents/guardians and ensuring the safety and well being of the children in our care. The assistant director supports a positive and nurturing environment, fostering the growth and development of both children and staff members.

Qualifications
ECE level 2 or 3 or equivalent
2 years experience in a childcare setting, preferably with supervisory responsibilities
Current First Aid and CPR C
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Knowledge of childrens development and appropriate childrens program practices
Saskatchewan health requires all working in childcare be vaccinated including vaccinations for tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis B, and that the childcare centre keep these on record for each employee
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and staff
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Commitment to support the administration management responsibilities
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft office
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Flexible schedule

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Compassion, patience, and genuine love for working with children
