Description

The director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the childcare centre including successful leadership of staff, managing budgets, ensuring a safe and educational environment for children, and actively communicating with parents to meet their childrens needs according to the policies and procedures set by the Board of Directors. The director needs to prioritize Al-Baaqi Childcare Centre maintains compliance with the Childcare Regulations, the Childcare Act, and Ministrys quality standards always. The director is responsible for policy implementation and effective management of the childcare centre and all its services.

Qualifications
ECE level 3 or equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience working in childcare supervisory or management positions
Knowledge and experience caring for children with exceptionalities
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR C
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Saskatchewan health requires all working in childcare be vaccinated including vaccinations for tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis B, and that the childcare centre keep these on record for each employee
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and staff
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Commitment to support the administration management responsibilities
Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft office
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Flexible schedule
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Compassion, patience, and genuine love for working with children
Priority Functions
Accept responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre in consultation with the board of directors
