Description

The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sports mission is to enhance economic growth and support quality of life by managing the provincial parks system and providing recreation, sport, heritage and cultural opportunities for residents and visitors. The Ministry is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual who is a flexible team player for the position of Park Maintenance Worker for provincial park lands within Danielson Provincial Park of Saskatchewan Parks Service. Reporting to the Supervisor, this position will be involved in the maintenance program.

As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform a variety of repair and general maintenance activities on buildings and grounds. You will operate light to heavy equipment such as tractors with loaders, gravel and sewer trucks, light trucks, mowers, skid steer, snowmobiles,  ATVs, chainsaws, power tools and other equipment as directed. You will perform janitorial and sanitation functions, pick up and dispose of garbage and debris. You will also assist with the maintenance and care of park facilities and grounds. In addition, you will assist with the monitoring and inspection of the water systems and sewer systems under the direction of the supervisor.
This position involves frequent lifting, carrying and moving supplies and equipment. You must comply with risk management standards, OH&S, Public Health Regulations, WHMIS, and TDG. You must possess a valid Drivers License. This position is required to work weekends and possibly evenings on a rotating schedule.
