Description

The Saskatchewan Elocution & Debate Association (SEDA) is a values-driven and future-focused charitable organization dedicated to empowering youth with essential communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Learn more at www.saskdebate.ca

As Executive Director, you will play a key role in guiding the strategic direction and daily operations of SEDA. Reporting to the Board of Directors, your responsibilities include:
Motivate and lead a small team of staff and volunteers, while working closely with Board members and community partners.
Manage day-to-day functions, ensuring smooth operations and accountability in administration, programming, and evaluation.
Oversee sustainable budgeting, reporting, and transparent financial practices.
Cultivate growth opportunities for youth, staff, volunteers, and coaches by supporting training, resources, and meaningful engagement.
Align programs and activities with SEDAs long-term vision and core mission.
Lead fundraising initiatives and seek new opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships.

Were looking for someone who believes in the power of critical thinking and sees the potential of youth. The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator who brings:
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including leadership in a nonprofit or educational setting
A degree in a related field (education, communications, nonprofit management, etc.) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
Bonus Points for Experience In:
Debate, public speaking, or speech education
K-12 or extracurricular education
Online program delivery and digital engagement
Nonprofit governance, policy, or board development
