We are looking for a dependable and experienced Part-Time Computer Technician to provide on-site IT support for our small office. The role includes setting up new computer systems, monitoring and maintaining our internal network, diagnosing technical issues, and handling physical hardware tasks such as relocating routers and installing devices. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and configure new computers, monitors, printers, and other peripherals
Perform software installations, updates, and troubleshooting
Monitor and support internal network infrastructure (wired and wireless)
Diagnose and resolve issues related to computer hardware, software, and network connectivity
Physically set up and relocate routers, modems, switches, and network cables as needed
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure all systems are documented and secured
Provide general tech support to staff and escalate complex issues when necessary
Requirements:
Hands-on experience as a computer technician or IT support role
Strong knowledge of hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, Wi-Fi routers)
Comfortable with lifting and moving computer and network hardware
Ability to work independently and problem-solve in a small office setting
Good communication skills and professionalism when interacting with team members
Assets (Nice to Have):
Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar
Experience with both Windows and Mac operating systems
Work Schedule:
Part-time hours (flexible within business hours)
On-site support as needed
