Description

The Manager of Programs participates with the executive leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, business plans, operational plans, as well as the overall college budget. The assignment for this permanent position is providing direct leadership to the suite of health care programs within Great Plains College region including the Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in partnership with University of Saskatchewan and all Practical Nursing and Continuing Care Assistant programs brokered from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of implementing these important programs alongside program delivery staff while also having opportunity to explore advancement of additional health care course and program offerings for future implementation.

Start date: September 1, 2025 (can be negotiated)
FTE: 1.0 Permanent

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
-Advanced knowledge of the nature and functioning of post-secondary institutions.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed oral and written communication skills.
-Strong, inclusive leadership and management skills with an exceptional capability for resolving issues in an open and consultative manner.
-Proven ability to liaise, build and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships.
-Effective conflict management and dispute resolution skills.
-Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
-Motivation to take initiative and make sound decisions while maintaining good judgment in keeping others apprised of important information.
-Intermediate computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and e-mail.
-The minimum educational qualification for this position is a related four-year undergraduate degree.
