You are responsible for:
-Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu standards.
-Collaborate with the executive chef or kitchen supervisor to plan and develop menus that meet the hotel's standards and customer preferences.
-Ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented attractively. Pay attention to details like portion control and garnishing to maintain the hotel's high-quality standards.
-Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace. Properly store and label ingredients, rotate stock, and keep workstations sanitized and tidy to meet food safety regulations.
-Regularly taste and evaluate prepared dishes to maintain consistency and quality. Adjust seasoning and cooking techniques as needed to achieve the desired taste and texture.
-Follow strict food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of raw ingredients, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring that all kitchen equipment is in good working order.
-Work closely with other kitchen staff, prep cooks, and kitchen assistants, to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
