Position and Responsibilities
- Operation of heavy equipment in underground development and production areas, including manual and remote mucking.
- Assist in the installation and removal of reamers, moving raise bore drills and construction equipment required for backfilling of raises and stopes.
- Daily operator care rounds.
Requirements of the position:
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- Three to five years of heavy equipment operation and knowledge
- Successful completion of underground training modules
- Good reading, writing and communication skills are essential
- Ability to work in an underground environment
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Rotating day shift/night shift schedule
