Do you have a passion for agriculture water management and supporting producers? We're looking for a driven, knowledgeable, and people-focused Extension Agrologist to join our team.
As an Extension Agrologist, you will work closely with clients on water management projects; your role will involve providing technical support, helping navigate regulatory processes, and offering guidance when working with consultants and contractors. You may also support agricultural producers with water supply projects or point project proponents to the right technical experts outside the organization.
You will often be the next point of contact within the organization for groups and individuals seeking support for development of rural water management projects like dams, dugouts, piping systems, water treatment, and on farm water supply systems.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Agriculture or equivalent knowledge of agronomy, water management, and hydrology and have 4 years of relevant experience. The candidate should also be eligible for membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrology.
You will have significant knowledge of agricultural operations and understand the stress that climate and hydrologic variability will have on the operations. You will also be able to provide direction and solutions for these producers and maintain relationships with various industry groups.
This role is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
