Description

Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for the position of Transportation Safety Facilitator. The Transportation Safety Facilitator is a member of the Transportation Services team and is responsible for recruitment, training, evaluating, and mentoring new and existing school bus drivers to ensure they possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes to safely transport students. This Exempt position starts July 2nd, 2025, and reports directly to the Transportation Manager. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday, based out of the Transportation Services Building located in East Saskatoon, SK.

Prairie Spirit School Division is the largest rural school division in Saskatchewan, with over 11,500 students and 45 schools located in 28 communities surrounding the city of Saskatoon, including three First Nations and nine Hutterian communities. Prairie Spirit has a dedicated team of professional and support staff serving Prekindergarten to Grade 12 students.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will:
    Minimum 5 years experience in the school bus industry.
    Valid Drivers License with S Endorsement.
    Demonstrated knowledge of the school bus driver licensing        requirements.
    Demonstrated knowledge of all Saskatchewan legislation related to operating a school bus.
    Have a minimum of two years of successful supervisory experience.
