What is the role?
The seasonal Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of labour tasks including shoveling, raking, cleaning, traffic control, safely lifting objects up to 50lbs, and various other hands-on tasks. The position may require equipment operation from time to time which may include operating compaction equipment, tractors, or skid steers (will train). Our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position follows a 10 and 4 work schedule and requires regular overtime and travel and overnighting. Duties are:
-Perform a variety of labour tasks including raking, shoveling, and cleaning as directed by the Site Supervisor
-Participate in daily safety Toolbox meetings
-Assist with traffic control as directed by the Site Supervisor (will train)
-Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner as per OHS regulations
-Perform regular equipment/truck inspections and perform general maintenance
