Description

Flying Dust First Nation is currently seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as an Arena Maintenance Worker at the Pineridge Ford Place Arena. Reporting directly to the Arena Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the arena and surrounding grounds. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in ongoing training and professional development as directed, and may be called upon to assist other departments and facilities within the community, especially during slower periods. A strong team spirit, flexibility, and a willingness to support where needed are essential qualities for this position.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
A) Perform daily tasks to ensure safe and efficient operation of the arena and surrounding grounds.
B) Inspect indoor and outdoor ice surfaces regularly; report and address any required repairs.
C) Operate Zamboni and ice edger for resurfacing and cleaning of ice surfaces.
D) Monitor and maintain the refrigeration plant; complete daily logs.
E) Conduct janitorial duties, including floor cleaning, disinfecting washrooms and change rooms, garbage removal, and general upkeep.
Qualifications:
    Must demonstrate a healthy lifestyle and serve as a positive role model within the community.
    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, and external partners.
    Must uphold high standards of professionalism, ethics, reliability, and teamwork.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
    Must provide a valid RCMP Criminal Record Check (dated within the last 6 months).
    Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and have access to reliable transportation.
