Required Skills/Training:
Post-secondary degree in education, child and youth work, social work, psychology or a related field;
Experience in supporting students with behavioral or learning challenges is preferred;
Knowledge of Inclusion and Intervention Plans (IIPs) is an asset;
Experience working with children or youth in educational, behavioral, or social service settings;
Knowledge of RTI frameworks, behavior management techniques, and/or intervention strategies;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families;
Patience, empathy, and a solution-focused mindset when addressing challenging behaviors;
Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and demonstrate cultural sensitivity;
Ability to work closely with and support students who require Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions;
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
Ability to work with personal and sensitive information and honor confidentiality;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a team player;
Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive and faith-based learning environment;
First Aid/CPR would be considered an asset, but not a requirement;
Familiarity with Catholic education principles and practices is an asset;
