Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Street Worker's Advocacy Project, the Raising Hope Program Manager is responsible for the delivery of residential services for the Raising Hope program. This program offers a supportive living environment, programming and reunification support for pregnant or early post-partum women struggling with a number of complex issues which can include addiction issues, mental health issues, homelessness and child protection involvement.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Indian Social Work, Bachelor of Social Work, or combination of education and related experience
-A minimum of 6 years management experience in the human service sector
-Previous experience working in a group home environment with at risk women;
-Extensive knowledge of problematic substance use, maternal mental health, infant care, and Indigenous culture;
-Experience in delivering services and programming utilizing holistic family-centered and strength based approaches, as well as harm reduction, trauma informed, cultural safety, and women-centered principles;
-Extensive knowledgeable of all applicable child welfare legislation and income support programs;
-Demonstrated leadership skills;
Primary Responsibilities
-Directing and coordinating the daily operation of the facility;
-Hiring, training, supervising staff, conducting performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings;
-Identifying staff training opportunities and resources;
-Managing the intake/referral/discharge process;
-Managing crisis or critical incident situations;
-Providing on call support after hours;
-Identifying program needs and corresponding resources;
-Implementing programming;
-Developing policies, protocols and procedures in consultation with the Executive Director;
-Liaises with community partners and establishes and maintains relationships with other service providers.
