Description

Temple Gardens Hotel and Spa is currently looking for a dedicated Casual Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher to join our team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness, assisting with basic food preparation, and helping keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

    Willing and able to work various shifts, including nights

Job Duties:
    Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, and pots
    Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly; night shift requires a full clean of the entire kitchen
    Receive and properly store deliveries and supplies
    Keep shelves and storage areas organized
    Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., peeling vegetables)
    Support the kitchen team in plating for large banquets
    Clean kitchen equipment (e.g., stock pots, grease traps)
    Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, Banquet Manager, or Food and Beverage Manager
    Possessing a valid Food Handler's certificate is an asset
Dishwasher Maintenance Duties:
o    Refill dishwasher chemicals, clean traps, and monitor water temperature
o    Promptly report any mechanical issues to the Chef, Kitchen Manager, Senior Cook, or Maintenance team
General Cleaning and Organization:
o    Always Keep the back hallway clean; remove linen, bottles, boxes, and garbage hourly
o    Maintain cleanliness and organization of the staff change room (stock linen, tidy lockers, empty linen bags, sweep and mop)
o    Ensure the kitchen staff bathroom is cleaned regularly
