Description

J3 Steel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Steel Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient erection of structural steel components on various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of structural steel erectors, welders, and other related trades.
Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
Ensure the timely and accurate erection of steel structures, including foundations, columns, beams, and connections.
Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
Collaborate with other trades, such as concrete and electrical contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and material inventories.
Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the erection process.
Implement and enforce safety procedures, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident reporting.
Strong knowledge of structural steel erection techniques, including bolting, welding, and rigging.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
Experience with safety regulations and procedures, including fall protection, crane operations, and welding safety.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
