Job Description: Reporting directly to the Manager, Digital Health, the Clinical Information Systems Specialist provides support and management for electronic medical records (EMR) implementations and ongoing use regionally. This position is responsible for providing leadership in respect to program implementation and ensuring the EMR supports regional clinical and financial business processes for which it was designed. This position is responsible for the effective operation of the EMR, including quality assurance, auditing, application security and data integrity in relation to privacy and adherence of users to identified policy and procedures. The Clinical Information Systems Specialist works with outside vendors, eHealth, and the SHA Information Systems and regional departments in the installation of new EMR sites and changes or upgrades to existing systems.

Experience
- Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
- Two (2) years experience in health care
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BSHIM)
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BCompSc)
- Health Information Management diploma (HIM)
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
- Business Administration diploma (DBA)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
