Do you have a passion for data, construction, and quality assurance? The City of Regina is hiring a Field Services Technician Testing Lab to support roadway construction and materials testing in the Roadways & Transportation department.
This technical role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and data analysis. You'll perform lab and field testing, analyze materials like asphalt and aggregates, and help ensure our roads are built to last.
What You'll Do:
Collect samples and perform lab tests (e.g., asphalt Marshall method, sieve analysis)
Analyze and report on materials data for quality control/assurance
Enter and manage testing data in digital systems
Work in labs, construction sites, and variable environments
Respond to inquiries and support safe, compliant work
What You Bring:
Grade 12 and 2 post-secondary courses (e.g., math, engineering, computers)
At least 2 years of experience in a technical, field, or engineering-related role
Solid understanding of lab testing, construction materials, and data analysis
Proficiency with Excel, Access, and Microsoft Office tools
A valid Class 5 drivers license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
