The Role
Cameco has a great opportunity available for an enthusiastic, motivated professional to be a part of a diverse procurement team. You will be responsible for supporting all of Camecos Canadian operations on a temporary full-time basis.
In this role, you will:
-Source a range of materials, equipment and services and interact closely with internal and external stakeholders
-Contribute to value creation from procurement activities, acting as a service provider to our partners at our Canadian operations, as well as participate in the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures
-Source best overall value to meet internal customer needs, generate and expedite purchase orders in an SAP environment, develop and execute contracts, and manage vendor on-time delivery
-Conduct request for quotation (RFQ) and request for proposals (RFP) as needed
-Identify and resolve blocked invoices to ensure efficiency in the procure-to-pay process
-Assist in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier databases
-Ensure adherence to internal controls, procurement policies and regulatory requirements
-Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Required:
-A bachelors degree in business, commerce, or a related field
-Up to three years of experience in the supply chain management procurement field
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
Recommended:
-Previous SAP experience
