Description

The Human Resources (HR) Disability Management Consultant drives and participates in departmental and agency-wide activities and programs that model and promote a safe, healthy, and client-centered work environment. This role will interact with key stakeholders to address case-related matters and bring cases/files to resolution. Responsibilities include promoting the agencys Employee Assistance Program, providing claims management advice, disability case management, workplace injury case management, agency attendance management, workplace accommodations, and support return-to-work programs. The HR Disability Consultant ensures applicable legislation, policies, procedures, and agency standards are being met.

Duties and Responsibilities

Services
* Manage the agencys leave of absence, disability claim, workplace injury, accommodation, and return to work programs.
* Communicate with and establish professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, in accordance with legislative and organization needs.
* Coordinate the collection and analysis of health and safety information, prepare reports, produce statistical information on relevant data, and provide recommendations for improvement.
* Act as a liaison with Workers Compensation Board (WCB).
* Develop, maintain, and update human resources documentation such as; health and safety documentation, reports, forms, and letters. Complete all documentation clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
* Enter and update employee information in HRIS and in other applicable databases.
* Responsible to apply CARE principles in HR practices.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
