SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
The Director of Infrastructure and Housing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and housing projects within the First Nation community. This role involves working closely with the community, external partners, and governmental agencies to ensure the delivery of high-quality infrastructure and housing services that meet the needs of the community.
Project Planning and Development:
Oversee the planning, design, and construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, water and sewer systems, community buildings, and other facilities.
Coordinate the development and implementation of housing projects, including new construction, renovations, and maintenance of existing homes.
Prepare and manage budgets, timelines, and resources for all projects.
Prepare and complete Housing (ISC Work Plans) and Infrastructure Funding Applications & submit reports as required (ISC, CMHC, etc.)
Effectively manage SLFN Band & CMHC Housing, and Infrastructure Public Works operations.
Effectively manage human resources to ensure maximum service delivery is provided to SLFN Infrastructure and its membership.
Manage all Equipment, Company Maintenance Vehicles, and any other equipment pertaining to Band Housing, CMHC Housing, or Infrastructure (Public Works).
Participate in and/or represent SLFN on various Project Management Teams (PMT) as required.
