Nature & Scope of work:
Reporting to the FLFN Ventures Board of Directors, the CEO leads business development, manages partnerships, and promotes prosperity rooted in Indigenous Title and Rights. The CEO advances economic strategies and represents FLFN Ventures in growing business prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead short- and long-term economic strategies.
- Oversee compliance and implementation of partnership agreements.
- Conduct sectoral analysis of business opportunities.
- Recommend strategic projects and partnerships.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for the Board and Chief & Council.
- Provide guidance and support for economic initiatives and policy development.
- Coordinate with FLFN leadership and stakeholders.
- Attend executive meetings and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Admin, Commerce, or related field.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in economic/business development, ideally with First Nations.
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and willingness to learn FLFN protocols.
- Clear criminal record check.
