Summary of Position

Were hiring a permanent full-time bus driver to support the Functionally Integrated Program (FIP) route, transporting approximately 15 students to and from North Battleford Comprehensive High School (NBCHS) .

The FIP supports students with diverse needs through individualized education plans focused on academic, social, emotional, sensory, and physical development. Students range from Grade 7 to Grade 12 , with some continuing in the program until the school year in which they turn 22 .

This route includes the pickup and transport of one or more wheelchair-accessible students , so experience with or willingness to learn safe wheelchair loading and securement procedures is required.

As the driver on this route, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, consistent, and compassionate transportation for students who benefit from routine, stability, and care.

Qualifications

Valid "S" School Bus Endorsement is required;
5 years driving experience;
A clean Driver's Abstract;
Satisfactory results from a medical examination in accordance with Board policy and The Highway Traffic Act is required;
Related training such as courses in first aid, defensive driving or heavy equipment operation would be considered an asset.
