We are seeking a skilled and reliable Laser Operator to operate laser/plasma cutting equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for machine setup, operation, and monitoring to ensure precision, productivity, and quality.
This is a critical role in our production process, requiring attention to detail, basic troubleshooting ability, and familiarity with laser cutting equipment.

What will you be working on?
- Operate CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., fiber or CO) to produce metal parts according to production orders
- Load and unload material and parts using appropriate handling equipment
- Perform basic machine setup, including program selection and part orientation
- Monitor cutting performance, quality, and machine parameters during operation
- Perform routine inspection of parts using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and adherence to tolerances
- Identify and troubleshoot common issues such as poor cuts, slag, or misalignment
- Perform basic maintenance (e.g., nozzle cleaning, lens inspection) and report equipment issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure production flow

What is required for this role?
- Previous experience operating laser cutting machines required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, part specs, and setup sheets
- Familiarity with common metals (e.g., mild steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
- Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
