Position summery: The maintenance Technician is a program support position responsible for providing daily maintenance services which would include minor maintenance and renovations services to all community  building within the Public Works Department. The position also keeps an inventory of all materials and equipment and assists in the preventative maintenance tasks in public building and grounds.
Qualifications: Minimum of grade 12. Can maintain buildings with the National Building Code. Will need to helping immediate supervisor by-weekly basis to estimate labour cost prioritising work orders to maintain community building. minimum of 3-5 years experience. Valid licence. Operate equipment Back hoe, bobcat, power tools, Do the maintain upkeep on the machinery. WHIMS, Occupational health & safety  knowledge and SCOTS. Need drug screening and criminal record checks before starting work. Any other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisors
