The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is proud to continue its leadership in population and public health. We are seeking an experienced Public Health Nurse (PHN) to join our team in the Population Health Branch. Reporting to the Director of Disease Prevention, this position will play a key role in strengthening the provinces immunization and child health programs
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of immunization and early childhood health initiatives.
- Support the development of public health policies and best practices
- Offering consultation and coordination in the management and use of Panorama for immunization, inventory, and client record functions, while working collaboratively with public health stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning and inter-agency collaboration
- Supporting population health promotion and primary health care initiatives through a public health nursing lens.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong background in public health nursing in Saskatchewan, with a focus on immunizations and child health
- Experience working with Panorama, particularly the Immunization and Inventory modules.
- Solid understanding of health promotion, disease prevention, and policy development
- Effective in multi-stakeholder collaboration
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing with course work in Public Health Nursing.
- Eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS).
- A minimum of three (3) years of public health nursing experience
- Panorama experience is an asset
