Description

The Corporate Services Division of the City of Swift Current is looking for a qualified Director, People & Organizational Culture to join our team of professionals to contribute to the development and implementation of the overall strategic direction of our organization through leadership, innovation, and commitment as we strive to advance our community, strengthen our economic sustainability and prosperity, enhance city operations and services, as well as strengthen our people, leadership and governance.

Reporting to the Chief Administration Officer, the Director oversees all areas of human resource operations, labour relations, talent management, diversity and inclusion, as well as the safety, health and wellness of staff. The Director is a key member of the management team and works collaboratively with all City Divisions and Departments to provide guidance to management, while also building relationships through engagement with all staff.

Essential Minimum Qualifications include:

Education, Designations and Certifications:
    University Degree in Human Resources, Business or Public Administration. Other related disciplines may also be considered.
    Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is required. Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation is preferred.
    Previous training or certification in change management is preferred.
    Completion of Respect Group Training and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check required upon hire.

Experience:
    Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a management role in Human Resource Management is required.
    Experience leading and executing change management processes.
    Experience in a public sector environment, specifically municipal government, is preferred.
