Description

Sunterra Horticulture is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our harvesting equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment to support peak performance and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
Quickly respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime
Work with supervisors to prioritize repairs and improvements
Plan and perform maintenance to reduce interruptions
Support and improve our preventative maintenance (PM) system
Perform and document PM tasks and parts used
Help manage spare parts inventory
Maintain tools and shop equipment in good condition
Always work safely and maintain safety guards on equipment
Be available for extra hours when needed
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Able to plan, multitask, and work in a fast-paced setting
Works well independently and in a team
Self-motivated, reliable, and professional
Strong work ethic and communication skills

Education & Experience:
3+ years in a maintenance technician role
Knowledge of safety procedures and safeguarding
Welding skills and trade certification are assets
Experience with agricultural equipment is a plus

Job Requirements:
Must read, write, and speak English
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
