Saskatchewan Agriculture has a challenging opportunity for a highly-skilled, well-organized individual to provide administrative support to the Deputy Minister's Office.
As the successful candidate, you will provide a variety of administrative support to the Deputy Minister, Assistant Deputy Ministers and other staff in the Ministry. You will type, format and proofread a variety of sensitive and confidential documents such as general correspondence, briefing materials, budget documents, Cabinet Decision items, reports, tables, graphs, and presentation and communication materials. You will plan, schedule and organize meetings and other events, including the coordination of travel and event logistics. You will also use the ARMS system to maintain the Deputy Minister's Office filing.
You must have good organizational skills to coordinate and process Minister and Deputy Minister referrals and ensure responses are completed in a timely manner. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required to resolve issues on a daily basis. You will be responsible for providing leadership and advice to other staff within the Ministry on government processes and standards, as well as to lead by example on the Ministrys culture and values.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through formal education and extensive experience in a senior administrative position.
