Human Resources Consultant

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a permanent, full-time Human Resources Consultant. The position will be located in our Regina Administrative Office and commence on August 1st, 2025, or a mutually agreed upon date.

Sask DLC is a Treasury Board Crown Corporation, created to deliver high-quality and equitable online learning programs to students across the province. Sask DLCs head office is located in Kenaston, with an administrative office in Regina, and regional campuses located in Estevan, Kenaston, La Ronge, Moose Jaw, Neilburg, Nipawin, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current and Yorkton.



Human Resources Consultant Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Consultant is responsible for overseeing the instructional and support staff recruitment and employment process. The Consultant serves as the primary point of contact to senior leadership and staff in a variety of areas including recruitment, onboarding, employee and labour relations, employee leaves or professional development, and general HR support.

Primary Responsibilities
* Be a leader in human resources management and strategic initiatives.
* Works collaboratively with corporate services and school-based staff across the organization to support the strategic and operational recruitment priorities of the organization.
* Proactively deliver and support human resources programs across the Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre.
* Creates job postings, pre-employment assessments, interview guides and schedules interviews as required.
* Prepares offers of employment in a timely manner, monitors expiring contracts and supports new employees in organization onboarding.
* Oversees the completion of the employee performance appraisal process in accordance with the guidelines.
* Collects, organizes, analyzes and reports on workforce data as required.
