The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and upkeep of the hotels physical infrastructure. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and guests.
Repair minor plumbing issues, such as clogged drains, leaking pipes, or malfunctioning toilets.
Fix electrical problems, including replacing light bulbs, switches, and outlets as needed.
Maintain and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Repair minor carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
Ensure the property meets health, safety, and fire code regulations.
Maintain a log of maintenance work completed and report any major issues to management.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and in good condition.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls as needed.
Work Environment:
Requires physical stamina to lift, move, and operate tools and equipment.
May involve exposure to various weather conditions and maintenance hazards.
