Description

The Health and Wellness Director shall provide a comprehensive activation program for the benefit of each resident on a continuing basis.  The Health and Wellness Director is required to plan, assist/deliver programs, direct and coordinate the necessary activities for the activation program within the facility. Is responsible for producing weekly and monthly calendars to keep residents engaged in all aspects of social interaction. Is responsible for effectively communicating activity programs to all staff, residents and residents' families and the community as they apply.  Produces a monthly newsletter with this communication as a goal.  Creates an atmosphere which encourages resident participation and innovative ideas from the care team.  Provides contact with the community and stimulates community involvement through a volunteer program.  Plans, directs and evaluates all activities of volunteers.  Keeps appropriate records in Qola and makes regular quarterly assessments on residents clinical records.  Is responsible for the management of space used for activity purposes. Attends in-service in order to better serve the needs of the residents.  Performs other related duties as requested.
